You can now record audio messages directly in Etudes and bring your real voice to your Etudes classrooms, effortlessly. Instructors have the audio recorder everywhere where there is an editor. Students can post short audio messages in discussions or private messages, and can submit audio responses in assignments.
Audio messages can be recorded directly in the editor using the audio recorder (microphone icon). No other software is needed. The built-in microphone on a laptop is all that you need to share with your browser.
A couple of common usages include:
- Providing personalized feedback to students with audio messages. The voice recording does not need to be perfect —- pauses are okay.
- Promote language learning – speaking and listening comprehension. You no longer need to ask your students to leave messages in your phone.
- Audio feedback can be provided privately to each student or to the whole class. Posting an announcement with a short audio clip to the whole class brings your real voice to the classroom.
Give it a try. It is easy and students will appreciate it. It humanizes the online classroom environment.
