Captivate & Storyline Support in Etudes

Etudes now supports the ability to upload and display interactive Captivate and Storyline files in your course sites. Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate are amongst the most popular and widely-used e-learning rapid development tools among educators.

You can upload Captivate and Storyline zip files and create links to them anywhere in Etudes where the editor is available or upload them in Resources. Etudes treats links to Captivate and Storyline .zip files as a special kind and doesn’t prompt users to download them. When clicked upon in your content, they will open and play in all supported browsers.

This functionality is now available for your use in Etudes.

Many thanks to Glenn R. Golden, Chief Architect of Etudes, Inc., for engineering an elegant solution to this need, without requiring users to expand large zip files. We are also most grateful to Megan Blevins, M.S. Ed., Instructional Technologist, at Hartnell College, for her assistance in helping us understand the Captivate and Storyline packages, verifying our implementation, and creating the how-to video at the end.

To learn how to upload and link to Captivate or Storyline presentations, see the following tutorial:
