Article Options [e-Mail this Article]     [Print this Article]

October, 17, 2008 - The Etudes team has now released Jforum 2.5, which includes grading of discussions amongst a few other enhancements! The new release of Jforum - Discussions & PM was *successfully* deployed onto Etudes at 4:06AM this morning (10/17/08).

For an overview of the new grading of discussions functionality, see:

Many thanks to our Etudes user community for your in-depth input on the desired features for grading of discussions. The response to our call for grading of discussions requirements was amazing! It provided us with valuable information on your needs. We received 16 pages of feedback and from individuals who had never come to our Etudes support forums before. Clearly, this was much-needed functionality. Sorting through the requirements were overwhelming, but careful study revealed clear patterns in the needs of faculty, which we were able to successfully implement and deliver to the user community.

Many thanks also go to Murthy Tanniru, lead Jforum Senior Java Developer with Etudes for his commitment and hard work over the past year to implement these features, and to Glenn Golden, Chief Architect, for packaging and deploying the new version of the tool.

The Etudes team will continue to refine and evolve the grading functionality.
