It's a number of preferences and tools
that help you organize your life as a user of the system.
- Account: To change your password, click on Account >> Modify. Please make a note of it. As
you change providers, be sure to keep your email in the system accurate, so that you don't miss important notifications by the instructor. To update your email account, click on Account >> Modify. The changed email account will be used by all the courses you are registered in
or teach.
- Customize Your Tabs: If you would like to change the order that your courses appear on the tabs, click on Preferences >> Customize tabs. To make sites tabs invisible
after a term has ended, click on Preferences >> Customize tabs.
Move to the left window and save changes.
- Preferences: The system allows the instructor to send high-priority email notifications to all members of his/her class. However, you can set your preferences for low-priority email notifications - whether or not and how you wish to be notified if something has been posted or updated in various tools in your course. To set the email notification settings, click on Preferences.
- Schedule: The schedule in your
workspace allows you to add personal events, study time, etc. and
maintain your own schedule. This can help you with time management.
In the course sites, the instructor is the only one who can add events to
the schedule.
- Announcements: In the
Announcements tool, under your workspace, you can see announcements from
all of your courses.
- Resources: This is a place where
you can store documents and resources. It is your private space.
