Melete Common Setup Problems

1) If you encounter an error upon starting Tomcat and clicking on Modules, and the browser reads, "You do not have access to the modules. Please contact a systems administrator," check to see if you have set up Melete permissions correctly. Refer to Melete Permissions for more details.

2) If you have problems importing the Melete tutorial or any other IMS files into Melete, check to make sure you have followed the relevant step in the Install Guide, and that you have set up and configured the /var/melete/packagefiles directory.

3) If upon importing a file, you get an error that says the file is too big, you can set the "content.upload.ceiling" sakai property to a desired value. If this property is not set, then Melete assumes the max value as 50MB.
